Essential duties and responsibilities

DRAINS:
Assist with the installation of backwater valves and sump pumps with proper documents.
Help with drain digs.
Help with the repair of water supply lines (e.g. mystery leaks, frozen pipes, etc).
Assist with broken drainage lines, clogged drains, auger, etc.

PLUMBING:
Assist with install and repair fixtures (e.g. sinks, faucets, toilets, tub, showers).
Assist with dishwasher installations, repairs, replacements and frig line hook ups.
Assist with install and repair gas water heaters.
Assist with hose bib replacements, shut off valves.
Assist with main shut off - requires office to call 311.

HEATING:
Assist installation of boilers and all piping required with the help of a senior technician.
Assist with removing radiators and installations with help of senior technician.
Assist with repairing leaks in radiator valves.
Assist gas hook-up and disconnect for BBQ or stove (if existing line).
Assist boiler cleanings on mid-efficiency boilers and no heat issues.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist getting equipment ready for the days' jobs.
Ensure senior and intermediate techs have dispatched, arrived and completed jobs on iPads.
Assist with recording information or invoicing on iPads for senior technicians.
Wear proper uniform with HHP logo.
Follow 12-step processes when visiting clients (business cards, sign off on approval, etc).
Know the 6 PLEDGES of the company mission statement.
Promote and up-sell Bio-Clean, CO detectors, faucets, etc.
Assist with keeping trucks maintained, cleaned and stocked.
Attend ride-alongs with senior technicians.
Follow all Canadian Health and Safety regulations.
Read and review the HHP Policies and Procedures handbook.
Attend weekly and monthly team meetings.
Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
Working knowledge of plumbing and heating systems.
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe cutters, plungers, camera, etc).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly with a great deal of patience.
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$25.00 per hour
