We are looking for a steel Fitter/Fabricator for one of our clients in Mississauga. They specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel and joists for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Buildings for over 30 years.

**Location - **Mississauga

**Shift Timing**: 7 am to 4 pm (Monday to Friday), overtime depends on requirements.

**Pay rate**: $20- $32 per hour depending on experience.

**Job duties and responsibilities**:

- Aligning, fitting, positioning, and welding components to create whole units or subunits according to layout criteria, additional spoken and written directions, and diagrams.
- Reading drawings to layout reference points and dimensions and weld track members on structural members such as W-shapes, HSS, and channels.
- Carrying out necessary cutting, shaping, and welding with the right tools, supplies, and hand tools.
- Checking that the finished product and its component parts adhere to specifications.
- Monitoring, cleaning, troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing required routine maintenance to maintain uptime and equipment reliability and tolerances.
- Reporting major concerns and recommended solutions, as necessary.

**What You'll Bring to the Position**:

- Ability to comprehend and read drawings.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Experience in the structural fabrication environment.
- Must have experience in using overhead cranes.
- A team player with strong attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Thoroughly familiar with the setup and operation of welding machines and other equipment as well as metal fabrication equipment.
