Founded in 1997, Liberty Tax is a nationwide tax return preparation firm. In the U.S. and Canada last year, Liberty Tax prepared approximately one million individual income tax returns in more than 2,500 offices and online. Liberty Tax's online services are available through Liberty Onlineand are backed by the tax professionals at Liberty Tax locations and its nationwide network of seasonal tax preparers. As franchisees, we are looking to hire Tax Professionals to work with our organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for tax optimization
- Assist clients with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax filings
- Utilize accounting software to prepare and file tax returns accurately and efficiently
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Provide exceptional customer service. Answer client questions, address complaints
- Increase the client data base

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of financial services and tax laws
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related tax requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Book keeping knowledge an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Tax Professional: 2 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
