Tax Manager

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic financial services team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate tax reporting and advising clients on tax strategies to optimize their financial outcomes. The Tax Manager will work closely with clients, providing exceptional service while managing a team of tax professionals. Duties Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, provincial tax returns for individuals and businesses. Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Perform financial auditing to assess compliance with tax laws and regulations. Analyse financial data to identify potential tax savings and investment opportunities for clients. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage for efficient tax preparation and reporting. Provide guidance on complex tax issues and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive financial planning and reporting. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant information to clients. Mentor junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the firm. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required. Proven experience in tax management or a similar role within the financial services industry. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage. Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes and financial auditing standards. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively. Ability to work under pressure during peak tax seasons while maintaining accuracy.
