Mortgage Fulfillment and Underwriter Officer

Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid Work)
We’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Mortgage Fulfillment Officer to join our team. You’ll play a key role in reviewing and adjudicating mortgage submissions, processing renewals, and ensuring our broker network and members receive personalized service. You’ll manage a variety of mortgage types, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
File Review: Ensure all mortgage documentation is complete and accurate before funding.
Mortgage Processing: Efficiently handle ALT-A, B Non-traditional, and C Non-traditional mortgage renewals.
Adjudication: Review, recommend, and, when authorized, make decisions on mortgage broker credit submissions.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and coordinate high-quality, timely credit submissions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on new processes, technologies, and service improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Customer Service: Respond to broker and staff inquiries, providing guidance or referrals as needed.
Documentation: Prepare and complete all necessary reports and documentation to ensure comprehensive credit files.
Process Enhancement: Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 1-5 years in lending, with a focus on mortgage credit.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of credit investigation, analysis, and industry practices.
Attention to Detail: Highly analytical with a keen eye for detail in reporting and credit deal documentation.
Adaptability: Organized, able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pressure Management: Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Underwriting & Negotiation: Strong underwriting abilities and effective negotiation skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
