**1.0 FTE - Secondary Long Term Occasional Teacher**: Mohawk Language Location: Eastside Secondary School Start Date: immediately End Date: June 27, 2025 ( extension possible) Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students each day at 39 in-person schools (32 elementary, two K-12; four 7-12, one secondary). Supporting student achievement is the goal of approximately 1,750 teaching and support staff who, in addition to the contributions of caring volunteers and community partners, share their passion for teaching and learning. The district covers a geographic area of 7,220 square kilometers bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south and Quinte West to the west. Applicants who are not certified with the Ontario College of Teachers will also be required to confirm their eligibility to teacher on a Letter of Permission as a condition of employment. This eligibility includes: Being 18 years of age or older, Having an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Providing a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal background check.
