Paragon of Play Learning Resource Centre is hiring 2 FSL educators for our 2025 summer camp season. Our summer camp season runs from June 30th to August 22nd.

Our French language camp weeks are June 30-July 4th (July 1st off) in Belleville, and August 5th-8th in Batawa. We are happy to hire FSL educators to work one of both of those weeks, as well as the other camp weeks if interested.

We do require that our French teachers are at minimum fluent in conversational French, and can confidently teach children the basics such as colours, days of the weeks, simple phrases, foods and animals. We do engage in collaborative planning before summer begins, so support will be provided as needed in preparing for the camp week(s). Our summer camps typically serve children ages 4-12, with the most common age range being 5-9 years of age.

Our summer camp team consists of OCT, ECE, EA and CYW professionals, as well as assistants who help in the implementation of programming. We run summer camp programming which consists of small groups, in a structured and well-supported environment where we leverage routine, consistent expectations, and child-centred practice in order to deliver high quality programming.

We offer some flexibility for our specialty educators. Along with offering the flexibility in working specific weeks throughout the summer, we can offer the option to work for the full day (8:45am-3:15pm) or half-day work (11:45-3:15pm). As well, we may have availability for additional hours depending on the need for before/after hours care (7am-6pm).

As well, we off the following:

- Paid lunch break
- Paid planning/prep sessions before camp begins
- Resource budget
- Free or discounted camp for children of staff

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
