**Job Title**: Compounding Pharmacy Assistant / Compounder

**Pharmasave** is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Compounding Pharmacy Assistant** or **Compounder** to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a professional with expertise in producing customized dosage forms, including sterile compounding, and who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and compound medications in accordance with prescribed formulas and regulations, ensuring compliance with NAPRA standards.
- Manufacture a variety of dosage forms, including but not limited to:

- Topicals (creams, ointments, gels)
- Capsules
- Oral suspensions
- Troches
- Transmucosal films
- **Sterile compounds (e.g., injectables, ophthalmic preparations)**:

- Work with a wide range of therapeutic areas, including:

- Bio-identical hormones
- Functional and preventive medicine
- Pain management
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of compounding activities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the safety, accuracy, and integrity of compounded products.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of raw materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to strict sterile compounding protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- **Sterile compounding experience is required** (e.g., aseptic techniques for preparing injectables and ophthalmic preparations).
- Previous experience working in a NAPRA-compliant community pharmacy laboratory is required.
- Experience with compounding software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of standard compounding techniques, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
