**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Provide an exceptional guest experience by engaging with guests in a timely & friendly manner
- Take drink orders accurately and follow up throughout the guest’s experience
- Competently understand what the Blackshop offers on our drink menus
- Mix various ingredients to make cocktails and mocktails
- Pour wine, beer and dispense non-alcoholic drinks
- Serve customers who sit at the bar with their food and drinks
- Ensure guests are enjoying their items ordered and take action to correct any concerns
- Enter orders into POS system and collect payment from guests
- Wash equipment, barware and glasses after use and clean the bar counter/work area
- Order supplies that are required for the bar and arrange bottles in a presentable manner
- Check to ensure customers meet the legal age requirements before serving alcohol and determine if guests have had to much to drink
- Other responsibilities as requested by management

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Highschool Diploma
- SmartServe Certification
- Certification from a bartending course or previous experience is an asset
- Previous serving experience is considered an asset
- G2 or G License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong communication skills
- Have a positive and solution-oriented attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure and with a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
- Ability to handle monetary transactions accurately
- Ability to deal with difficult or intoxicated customers in a professional manner
- Availability to work in shifts including during weekends and evenings

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
