As a a Junior Buyer/Purchasing Analyst for Adrenalin, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. You will analyze purchasing trends, vendor performance, and market conditions to make informed decisions that contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Working with the Director of Purchasing the Junior Buyer/Purchasing Analyst will:

- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and stay informed about industry changes.
- Analyze pricing trends, product availability, and lead times to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and provide feedback to improve service levels and overall satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team (Director of Operations and Store Managers) to implement efficient stocking strategies.
- Analyze costs associated with procurement, shipping, and other related expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Purchase order creation and management.
- Place orders with vendors.
- Purchase order tracking and management.
- Utilize data analytics tools to interpret and present data related to purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost fluctuations.
- Generate reports for management with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Work with the Purchasing Director to ensure an authentic, leading-edge assortment that resonates with Adrenalin’s customer base.
- Assist the Purchasing Director with developing and implementing assortment plans to meet financial objectives, with insights on category sell through, brand mix, product selection, size/colour/price analysis, program/margin analysis, receipt flow/initial allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and operations, to align purchasing strategies with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Analyst or in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with a variety of software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel as a reporting and analytical tool.
- A love and passion for sports.
- Valid class 5 Driver’s license.
- the ability to travel when required.
