Environmental Project Manager - Full-time, Remote (Alberta)
Role Summary
The Western Canada division of Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences LP is a niche environmental science and remediation consulting firm seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Alberta.
**Responsibilities**:
- Emergency response through an established on call schedule
- Site assessment and management of remediation projects
- Management of sub-contractors, development of budgets and cost control
- Field sampling
- Regulatory reporting
- Client correspondence and reporting
Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Diploma or degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, soil science or equivalent;
- Industry experience of 5-10 years of conducting contaminated site investigations and spill response/remediation projects;
- Insurance Industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in Provincial contaminated sites legislation, regulations and processes; Alberta and British Columbia
- A proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and a personable attitude are requirements for these positions.
- Strong supervisory experience with client relations, auditing, environmental due diligence and risk assessment would be a definite asses.
- Strong written and oral communication in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Environment/Work Conditions:
- This position requires some travel both provincially and regionally
- Valid driver’s license required
- Positive team dynamics
