Environmental Project Manager - 2 positions (Interior British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta)
Role Summary
The Western Canada division of Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences LP is a niche environmental science and remediation consulting firm seeking Environmental Project Managers to join our team in the interior of British Columbia and also our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Locations in BC to be considered include: Southern Interior, Caribou and Peace Regions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the project management of spill response and remediation projects, local business development activities including developing and nurturing client relationships
- Emergency response through an established on call schedule
- Site assessment and management of remediation projects
- Management of sub-contractors, development of budgets and cost control
- Field sampling
- Regulatory reporting
- Client correspondence and reporting
Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Diploma or degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, soil science, forestry or equivalent;
- Industry experience or interest in conducting contaminated site investigations and spill response/remediation projects;
- Knowledge of Provincial contaminated sites legislation, regulations and processes; Alberta and British Columbia
- A proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and a personable attitude are requirements for these positions.
- Experience with client relations, auditing, environmental due diligence and risk assessment would be a definite asses.
- Strong written and oral communication in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Environment/Work Conditions:
- This position requires some travel both provincially and regionally
- Valid driver’s license required
