We're looking for a talented line cook to join our team The Harvest Deli is a neighbourhood fixture in Kitsilano and has been around for nearly 15 years. We are proud to serve locally sourced, sustainable, and organic food to our community and are looking for another cook

This position requires you to occasionally attend orders at the counter, to construct sandwiches and serve soups and other specials(line), to complete basic sauce and meat preparations(prep), and to help maintain facility cleanliness. Novice's are welcome but kitchen experience is preferred. We don't mind training someone with potential

This is a part-time position starting on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am -3pm. This will soon change as we will be staying open later in the summers and more days are negotiable.

English fluency is required.

*Responsibilities*
- Constructing sandwiches, Serving soups, preparing breads, meats, and cheeses.
- Prepping sauces, spreads, and sliced vegetables
- Prepare Coffees, teas, Smoothies, and other deli items according to customer requests
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen areas
- Follow food safety protocols at all times
- Serving food, wrapping orders

*Qualifications*
- Prior experience in a deli, kitchen, or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with cashiering duties is a plus
- Barista Experience of any kind is a plus
- FOOD SAFE LEVEL 1 IS MANDATORY

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 16 per week
