We are located on Granville Island inside the Public Market.

The Market Grill is a fun and energetic burger and breakfast restaurant in the heart of the Public Market with a wonderful water view of False Creek. Applicants will work in a fast paced kitchen in a busy Granville Island destination.

Must be willing to work weekends
Our hours of operation are 8am to 6 pm, Monday - Sunday

Available Job: Prep Cook

Wage: Starting at $18 hour - plus tips ~$7-8/hr average

Skills / Qulifications
- One year of experience as a prep cook, line cook, restaurant helper, or dishwasher with experience prepping or cooking food in a kitchen.
- Experience working a fast pace line
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member

Kitchen team 5 to 6 staff

**Responsibilities**:

- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Ensures that food comes out in high quality and timely fashion
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
- Food prep throughout the work day
- Preparing burgers and other ready made food for order
- store set up and clean up of cook station
- taking orders and serving food when needed

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
