Twin Rinks General Manager

Overview:
The primary purpose of the General Manager is to work closely with the Executive Director of Operations (EDO) to oversee the daily activities of River Cree Twin Areas (RCTA) and improving overall business functions.
The General Manager will demonstrate leadership and a professional image to all guests, employees/associates, sales accounts, local community representatives, vendors, competitors and governing agencies while maintaining employer standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance and asset protection.
**Responsibilities**:
- Direct supervision of Office and Concession Supervisors.
- Responsible for ice scheduling.
- Be actively involved in the recruitment, retention, performance evaluation and progressive discipline of associates.
- With the EDO, organize and establish department positions and delegate the necessary authority to those associates to create optimum working conditions.
- The General Manager (GM) with the EDO is responsible for the success of Twin Rinks (TR) both financially and reputational. A hands-on approach is necessary to effectively manage the quality of customer service and hockey experience.
- Assist with the financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximum investments and increase efficiency with respect to operations.
- Working with the EDO, preside over or serve on management committees or other governing boards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and applicable corporate policies, procedures and directives.
- Provide feedback to the EDO on suggested process implementation/changes to the operation as well as policies/procedures.
- Schedule work activities of associates.
- Schedule events and programs
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers, guests and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Supervisory Skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
