Our forestry division is looking to expand its expertise and with that we need hard working individuals who are willing to learn how to operate a chainsaw around energized powerlines and includes learning how to operate tree mulching machine for powerline right of way clearing and vegetation management.

**Job duties include**:

- Transporting tree mulching equipment between job sites
- Performing tree felling procedures with a chainsaw around energized powerlines. (Training will be provided for safe chainsaw handling)
- Learn to operate and control tree mulching units around energized lines.
- Work in conformance with safe work practices, procedures, and specific work site conditions.
- Complete daily inspection checklists.
- Respond to signals and directions of onsite personnel and work in coordination.
- A knowledge of chainsaw experience is an asset.
- Working on the road for extended periods of time.
- Perform safety, maintenance, and servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and fuel equipment daily.
- Inform management or mechanic of major repairs and maintenance requirements.
- The role may require assisting crew in labour duties and other related duties as assigned.
- Motivated and driven to assist in anyway possible to keep production going.

**Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Set include**:

- Follow all applicable safety regulations;
- Class 5 driver’s license and **1A license**;
- UTW or UTT certification is an asset;
- First Aid is an asset;
- WHMIS Certification is an asset
