Residential Live-in Building Operator

Role and Responsibilities:
The Building Operator will oversee building maintenance, repair and upgrades, condominium owners and visitor safety and will ensure compliance with environmental, safety and health procedures relating to facility operations. In addition, they will manage the following:
Ø Oversee the operation of a High-Rise Condo Complex through routine checks of the building equipment and common areas.

Ø Oversee building security by way of video monitoring.

Ø Primary contact for vendors and subtrades for estimates and access to the building.

Ø Assist with preparing budgets and preventative maintenance programs.

Ø Coordinates facility related activities and projects.

Ø Perform general maintenance tasks, which includes drywall, paint, minor electrical, small engine servicing, and minor plumbing work.

Ø A Background in construction, electrical, and/or mechanical would be given preference.

Ø A Fireman certificate, Building Operations Course, and/or Boiler papers would be given preference.

Ø Must have general knowledge of Fire Alarm System, Sprinkler Systems, HVAC, Boiler, pumps, electrical, overhead doors, locks, etc.

Ø Have the ability to read blueprints and building plans.

Ø Computer skills to include an understanding of accounting software, billing practices, Word, Excel, scanning software, etc.
