This one-year contract position, as part of the Creating Nursing Capacity project, will support orientating, preceptoring, and building the clinical capacity of 500 new nurses to Bayshore.

The Clinical Lead will provide orientation, mentoring, education, team building, support, and professional practice expertise to home care nurses and preceptors at the local branch level. The Clinical Lead will work closely with the Clinical Resource Nurse/Clinical Manager at the branch, as well as the Area Director.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provides orientation and education components in collaboration with CQ-HIP.
- Educates, mentors, and provides oversight to preceptors. Supports the preceptors as they support the new nurses in their orientation.
- Facilitates a learning environment where evidence-based knowledge is translated via education to optimize the patient’s outcomes and experiences. This includes developing education plans and activities aimed at improving nursing/clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies. Education methods will be offered to best meet the learning style of nurses and other clinicians and incorporates the principles of adult learning to optimize staff experience.
- Identifies orientation and preceptorship program improvements.
- The Clinical Lead is part of the National Clinical, Quality, Health Information & Privacy team and will support the advancement of Professional Practice.
- The Clinical Lead will support and participate in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives where appropriate, while adhering to Bayshore policies and procedures

Job Qualification

**What You'll Need**

Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program; current registration with
the provincial regulating body.

Experience
At least 2-3 years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities, as a Nursing Supervisor, preferably in a community setting; strong track record in leading the development and evaluation of training programs; demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of human resources and interpret company policies and procedures; experience in business development preferred.
