and industrial Canadian and US markets. Our air source high temperature heat pumps are designed for the rapidly expanding electrification HVAC market. In addition, we manufacture CO2 heat pumps for the domestic hot water market. Transom is investing heavily in its growth, expanding our production facilities, including climate chambers for development and testing of new products. Transom Corporation is a subsidiary of Mestek Inc.

**Position Summary**

We are looking to add Mechanical Assemblers to our manufacturing team. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for laying out framescutting, fitting and welding steel frames; cutting, fitting and brazing copper pipe, as well as assembly and other related tasks.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Cut and prepare copper tubing for brazing
- Layout frames and assemble units
- Insulate chiller and heat pump units
- Touch-up painting of units when required
- Keep shop and work area clean
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to read and follow blue prints
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Willing to learn HVAC/chiller operation
- General shop duties as required

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Over 1 year experience working worked in a manufacturing environment
- Proven mechanical aptitude
- Experience using hand tools
- Organized, is able to meet deadlines and pays attention to detail
- Positive attitude, excellent communication, able to work individually or within a team
- Committed to a full-time position and has proven attendance and punctuality
- Clean record, legally allowed to work in Canada

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour
