**Your role**:
Reporting to the CFO, you will provide strategic and operational people support to leaders of the company. To be successful in this role you must have extensive operational experience (recruitment, labor law, shift work support, advising managers, etc.) strong communication skills, care deeply about people and making the organization its people successful.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead the organization's recruitment efforts supported by recruiting managers and agencies
- Act as central point of contact and ensure good progress on all recruitment fronts
- Prepare employment contracts and be the primary point of contact for new hires
- Ensure standardized on-boarding experience and expectation setting for all potential team members
- Ensure each new employee has gone through training
- Oversee the organization's compliance with labour laws both in Canada and USA
- Improve and communicate the company people policies, benefits and processes
- Ensure successful onboarding is delivered for new recruit, that they feel welcomed and ensure their integration to the organization
- Oversee the Social Committee, its budget and its activities and actions within a remote employee setting
- Manage staff wellness initiatives
- Support Learning and Development Manager in facilitating people's career and personal growth plans
- Manage and negotiate from time to time the group benefits plans, both in Canada and USA.
- Oversee whistleblowing program
- Ensure quarterly evaluations, goal setting and eNPS cycles are run smoothly and on time. Report back to management on key performance indicators and facilitate management improvements. Suggest most relevant data to track and ensure data quality.
- Support townhall meetings and internal communications
- Conduct exit interviews of all departures and provide appropriate feedback to the leaders
- Provide career counseling to team members and provide coaching if needed

**Ideally you will have**:

- Bachelor's degree in HR / business or equivalent
- Being a member of the CRHA or another HR association is an asset
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent emotional intelligence and communication skills both written and oral
- Proven ability to overcome challenges and working in fluid situations
- Very well organised and meet deadlines
- Be bilingual (FR/EN).
