This is a permanent, full-time meat cutter/butcher position with room to grow in our company. Workdays are Tuesday to Saturday and start date would be as soon as possible.
**Job Description**:
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat for retail - chicken, pork, beef, turkey, bison
- Preparing elevated and value-added butchery products with custom marinades, rubs and stuffings.
- Making sausage, charcuterie, burgers, ground products, smoked meats and jerkies.
- Wrap and package prepared meats.
- Helping customers select meats and educating on its preparation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Butchery program certification required. New SAIT and/or Olds College Butchery and Charcuterie grads welcome.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Completion of High School
- Good communication skills in English
