**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Patient Services Coordinator is responsible to support operations of key areas of the program to ensure efficient and effective processes including responding to patient, customer complaints, compliments or suggestions; providing administrative support to the program as required; managing and maintaining comprehensive data systems to meet the needs of the Patient Services which may include data collection; maintain, coordination and corporate support of data systems including designing and writing reports ;assisting with the coordination of training and project events.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Adheres to all policies, procedures, and work instructions in performing the job.
- Supports inbound patient calls, including & not limited to:
- Respond to patient concerns
- Advise of drug(s) authorization updates
- Warm transfer to other NKS Health employees based on need
- Collect & record necessary patient information (e.g., demographics, medical info. etc.)
- Potentially support patient adherence programs
- Communicates with prescribing physician as necessary, & the dispensing pharmacy as required.
- Communicates with NKS Health teams as necessary to ensure seamless patient journey.
- Documents patient case activities to keep track of changes and necessary escalations.
- Maintains patient file.
- Attends & completes required training programs and workshops.
- Provides emotional support to patients and their families.
- Provides feedback on current flow of work, databases, processes, and other tasks as necessary.
- Practice cultural competence with awareness and respect for diversity.
- Maintains open communication with team and management as necessary.
- Participates in the training of new NKS Health employees working in the same program.
- Reports program challenges and adverse events to program manager.
- Works on other projects and/or cases as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Completion of a college degree preferably related to healthcare.
- Proven ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Tech savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in patient service/support.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or medical field is an asset.
- Ability to communicate fluently both orally and in writing.
