**Job Overview**
Scott Builders Inc. is seeking an experienced and hands-on Service & Maintenance Supervisor to lead service & maintenance projects within our Calgary branch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety—balancing field work, project coordination, and client relationships. You’ll oversee small to mid-size renovation, construction, and maintenance projects, ensuring quality workmanship, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

You’ll also play a key role in growing the department by preparing estimates and quotes, pursuing new opportunities, managing warranty work, and building lasting relationships with clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the work of Service & Maintenance Technicians to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Plan and execute construction, maintenance, and renovation projects from start to finish.
- Perform hands-on repair and maintenance work (carpentry, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.) when required.
- Prepare estimates and detailed quotes for new and recurring work.
- Lead local sales efforts by identifying and responding to service opportunities.
- Attend site walkthroughs with clients and the branch team to identify warranty or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and schedule third-party trades and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, job costing, and invoicing details.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Foster strong, long-term client relationships through professionalism, communication, and reliability.
- Promote a culture of respect, safety, and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years in commercial construction and general carpentry with the ability to work with drywall, framing, minor electrical, minor plumbing and exterior work
- Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing or electrical required
- Technical training in one or more trades is preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a construction or service environment.
- Strong estimating and quoting skills, with an understanding of project scopes and costing.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve a variety of issues
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop strong professional and respectful working relationships with clients
- Comprehensive working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Proficiency with technology such as Procore, Microsoft Office, or other project management software.
- Proficient with computers and project management or estimating software (e.g., Procore, MS Office).
