What you’ll do
The MHE Operator will work in the daily operation of the Conveyor Systems. The MHE Operator will communicate concerns to the oncoming shift; ensure that service quality standards are maintained and that processes operate to the standards set by the Maintenance Manager.
There are various positions available for day and afternoon shifts.
- Communicate to the Maintenance Coordinator any issues that affect the operation or productivity of the systems
- Correct conveyor faults promptly ensuring minimum down time
- Maintain the integrity is the ASRS, GTP, DMS & PTL systems and equipment operating efficiency
- Verify and enter data in the computer system as well as monitor the systems activities
- Monitor and use the Conveyor computer operating system as required
- Global start up and shut down of all conveyors
- Use the ACS & DCCS systems to monitor activities ensuring product is moving throughout the DC for maximum efficiencies in stock replenishments
- During equipment failures, perform repairs within agreed limits of skill required to correct the failure
- Work with Maintenance Trades in the repair/overhaul of equipment in assigned area
- Report process problems and possible root causes to the coordinator
- Ensure information of production requirements is transferred and confirmed to the oncoming shift
- Liaise with DC Shift Manager for secondary contact during major breakdowns as required
- Applied technical skills, knowledge, and experience to identify, recommend and implement improvements to equipment, utilities, and facilities.

- Must be able to work at heights of 100 feet and be capable of lifting heavy weights
- Knowledge of PLC’s, VFD and photoelectric
- Proven computer experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Counterbalance, Ariel lift equipment,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple systems and material handling systems
- Proven ability to work overtime when required
- Proven electrical, mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, & instrumentation capable of using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems
- Be a team player, a positive contributor; be open to suggesting and implementing ideas to better the business
- Willing to participate in skill enhancement programs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, basic shop
- Knowledge of and the ability to operate Conveyor System
