We are hiring for a Food Runner, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near UBC
Up to 40 hours available.
Availability to work on holidays is considered an asset.
You will be responsible for:
- Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests choices from bar and kitchen, and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service area.
- Understanding the different menu items and the service ware guests will need when they are ordered, and ensuring those items are present.
- Preparing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, polishing glassware and polishing utensils.
- Keeping kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
- Maintaining tables by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, maintaining beverage service and being alert to spills or other needs.
- Taking instruction and providing assistance to the Chef in the kitchen.
- Stocking and restocking service stations as needed.
- Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary.
You have:
- Minimum one year of restaurant experience.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Serving it Right.
You are:
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests.
- Detail oriented with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Details:
$17.40 - $18.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
