Overhead Crane Trainer

We are currently seeking an **Overhead Crane Trainer** to join the production team in our **Richmond**
**Hill **shop. The Overhead Crane Trainer is responsible for a range of duties to ensure total order fulfillment. The duties in this position range from monitoring employee skill gaps, creating training programs and following up on the progress of these training programs. The Overhead Crane Trainer is responsible for accurate individual output, as well as contributing to the overall productivity of the
Mansteel team.

Please note this is a multiple shift position. **Shifts will rotate** (bi-weekly or monthly) between day (8am
- 5pm) and night (7pm-4am) shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Evaluate employee performance to gauge where skills are lacking.
- Create training programs to address skill gaps in employees and prepare learning materials for programs.
- Follow up on training programs to ensure successful employee education
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment;
- Check and complete all necessary paperwork;
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness by wearing personal protective equipment at all times, performing duties in a safe manner and continually maintaining a clean and safe work area;
- Fill in for other positions as needed and perform other duties as required and assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5-7 years of overhead crane experience preferably with heavy material.
- Previous experience with conducting training is a strong asset.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Overhead Cranes and their maintenance and operation.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A motivated team player with a “can-do” attitude that is able to troubleshoot, focus and organize work area.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
- Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Willingness to assist other plant personnel when required.

Hourly Rate: Negotiable, based on experience.
