We are currently seeking a Yard Forklift Operator to join the production team in our Richmond Hill shop. This position will be regularly working at our Gormley Yard. The Forklift Operator is responsible for a range of duties to ensure total order fulfillment. The duties in this position range from pulling product and operating material handling equipment, to the proper handling and packaging of an order. The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurate individual output, as well as contributing to the overall productivity of the Mansteel team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Loading and unloading trailers with a forklift.
- Pull inventory according to order specifications.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Check and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Moving miscellaneous material around yard.
- Assess cut pieces for quality and prepare product for delivery.
- Assist other machine operators, forklift operators and workers with various duties involving physical handling of product, materials and equipment when required, or as directed.
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness by always wearing personal protective equipment, performing duties in a safe manner and continually maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Fill in for other positions as needed and perform other duties as required and assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Valid forklift license and minimum 2 years of forklift experience preferably with heavy material.
- Valid Overhead Crane license.
- You must have your own vehicle.
- Comfortable working outdoors. This position is outdoors, year-round.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of essential machine maintenance.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A motivated team player with a “can-do” attitude that is able to troubleshoot, focus and organize work area.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
- Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Willingness to assist other plant personnel when required.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
