Laureate College (Burlington Campus), located in Waterdown community, is an Ontario private school that offers Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program, high school credit courses and small class sizes to students who wish to achieve high academic standing. Our goal is to ensure the success of every student through interactive learning, peer collaboration, and differentiated instruction.

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Food Services, Dietary Aide Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with assisting in preparing and serving food, cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, washing dishes, etc. In addition, the Dietary Aide needs to assist with table setting, food delivery, and trash recycling.

**Specific Responsibilities**:
Food preparation aid
- Perform preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing fruit and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure ingredients.
- Wrap, date-label, and store food items.
- Ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
- Store raw foods and other supplies as required.
- Report any changes that affect the production and operation of food services to the Coordinator in a timely manner.
- All other duties as required.

Food Serving
- Set-up the dining tables in the main floor and the third-floor dining room
- Serve food items to the residents in a fast, efficient and friendly manner, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are serviced.
- Set up hot and cold food lines, yogurt, beverage, fruit, and other food items, as appropriate to the position.
- Report feedback and suggestions of residents to management.
- All other duties as required.

Cleaning and Sanitization
- Clean and organize work areas, equipment, utensils, and service stations.
- Sanitize and disinfect all the place and equipment in the kitchen and dining area according to the relevant safety, hygiene, and service standards and procedures.
- Comply with all the health and safety requirements of the department.
- All other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or suitable equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Available to work shifts and extended hours.
- Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements.
- Skill in preparing a variety of foods.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Own vehicle for transportation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
