**Reports to**:Supervisor, Welding Shop**Shift**: 7x7, 12 hours per day**Safety Sensitive**:Yes
- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
**Travel**:this role will travel up to 25% within Canada
**Relocation**:This position does not offer relocation**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Help keep the shop running smoothly by organizing materials, tools, and equipment
- Schedule vehicle maintenance and maintain shop checklists
- Support Journeyman welders, mechanics, and machinists with day‑to‑day tasks
- Move machinery, tools, and products to the right locations in the shop
- Take on general labour duties in an industrial environment
- Prep parts for painting and assist with sandblasting and painting
- Use hand tools and basic fabrication/assembly skills
- Deliver parts or components to local mine sites as needed
- Jump in on other tasks as assigned — every day is a bit different

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- High school diploma
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or mining environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
- A safety‑first mindset
- Bonus points for welding, grinding, or carpentry skills
- OSSA, CSTS, or First Aid certifications are an asset
- Interest in growing your career — progression into trades roles is possible with experience
