**The Role in a Nutshell**
- Work as an integral part of the Project Management team, managing design and build renovation projects to completion.
- Ensure seamless coordination, meticulous scheduling, and foster excellence in every project.
- Complete a diverse range of daily tasks to manage successful projects, including:
**Scheduling**
- Creation of project schedules ensuring they are properly developed and managed and potential issues identified
- Scheduling of all required subtrades for projects and ensuring date changes are communicated regularly
- Ensure that final close-out meeting is completed with customers
- Establish final punch list and distribute to customers and stakeholders
- Ensure that project is managed to successful close-out within schedule and budget
**Subcontractor and Supplier Management**
- Communication of new project requirements to subtrades and ensure that they have all required information to provide accurate price/time estimates.
- Booking of subtrades for projects and ensuring regular follow-up with them ahead of planned start dates to ensure there are no unforeseen issues.
- Reviewing subtrades quotes and invoices to ensure accuracy and questioning any discrepancies.
**Management of Costs and Budgets**
- Tracking of actual costs against budgets to ensure budgets are being met and on track
- Identification of any potential issues/trends and reporting them to Production Manager and General Manager.
- Analysis of trends to identify potential risks and opportunities to budgets and schedule
- Working within an integrated team of designers, suppliers and tradespeople to successfully manage complex projects
**Management of Client Communication through all stages**:
- Ensuring the client experience is enjoyable and managing expectations in a consistent and professional manner.
- Sending regular updates and reports, and closely monitoring client communication.
- Continually look for ways to improve client communication/satisfaction
**Administrative Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring project files are organized and information is always up to date in CRM
- Work with the other team members (Office Manager, Design, Estimating) to ensure that information requirements are received and accurately communicated/filed.
- Ensuring that site staff are using the company’s systems and correcting any issues.
- Continued development of Standard Operating Procedures
**What We're Looking For**:
- Degree in Business Administration or related field with an interest in Project Management/Operations
- Strong working knowledge of project management essentials including project plans, Gantt charting, resource management, risk management and quality assurance.
- Experience in construction is an asset but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is mandatory with strong spreadsheet skills and an ability build and maintain budgets as required.
- Highly organized and self motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Experience with Buildertrend or similar system an asset but not required
- Drivers License and own transportation
