B-Line Tire and Auto Supply is a wholesale distribution company specializing in automotive tools, supplies and equipment. We were founded in St. Albert in 1985, and we remain family owned and operated. We have grown to become an industry leader across Canada with thousands of clients ranging from Fountain Tire, Kal Tire, and GoAuto, to small independent repair shops and farmers.
We are looking for a positive, self-motivated team member that can help in our purchasing and supply chain department.
**Responsibilities** include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with inventory forecasting and projections
- Monitoring inventory for potential over-stock or under-stocked items
- Communicating with sales managers regarding order status
- Communicating with vendors and suppliers
- Tracking and analyzing performance of suppliers
- Working with the warehouse team to correct mis-shipments, errors, and items damaged during transport
- Work to improve inventory accuracies and reduce shrinkage opportunites
- Under the guidance of the Procurement Manager, develop or assist with improvement initiatives for purchasing responsibilities
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in purchasing or supply chain management
- Good communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Knowledge of purchasing systems (Sage 300 would be an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of best practices
**Assets (Nice to have, but not mandatory)**:
- Experience with Sage300 software
- Experience in the tire or automotive industry
- Experience with international purchasing or importing procedures
