System Support

**ACCOUNTABILITY**

Accountable to the Director of Information Technology.

**JOB SUMMARY**

Overall responsibility to manage and administer networking system in a fast-paced environment. Provides administrative and technical support and makes recommendations to the Director of Information Technology. Provides coaching, guidance and support to system users, and others. Performs day-to-day activities in the maintenance and upkeep of the network and its peripheries.
**BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree or diploma in Computer Networking, computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent and two years of experience in the IT field.
- solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.
- Knowledge of Incident Response, life cycle management, and change management.
- Expert experience in configuring, troubleshooting and administering on prem Microsoft Active Directory, User/Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, VPN (IPsec/SSL), SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, and routing protocols.
- Ability to work and configure SAN and NAS devices
- Experience with Networking such as VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi, Switching, Routing and Firewalls.
- Experience working with Microsoft Exchange Server
- Experience with Virtualization and Remote Desktop,
- Experience with managing Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of server room and cabling infrastructure Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting abilities and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Expert knowledge of network, switching, computer and server hardware and components
- Proficient in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting systems running Windows 10, Windows Server 2012-2019, and MS Office
- The flexibility to participate in providing after-hours as well as weekend support.

**CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED**

Technology certificates are an asset
- MCPITP, MCSE, MCSA Server Certification or proven experience
- ITIL/MCSE/CCN/PMP/CET certification

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Provide administrative/technical support to the Director of Information Technology, making recommendations for improvement.

2. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, security system, telephone system and printers.

3. Perform daily system health checks, address issues and document results

4. Monitor access to system resources and track connectivity and security problems.

5. Contribute/develop documentation of processes, systems, and configurations including network configuration, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software.

6. Installing and maintaining server rooms, switches, controllers, firewall, routers, and access points as well and other environmental controls.

7. Manage and support internet access, liaising with our internet service providers.

8. Define and document best practices and support procedures

9. Support Avaya IP phones and telecom infrastructure.

10. Support building and access security systems including security cameras

11. Record, update, and document requests using the IT helpdesk system

12. Provide Helpdesk support, Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, printers, laptops, network cabling and all related equipment.

13. Install and update firmware and software on several hardware appliances.

14. Ensures regular patching across all IT resources

15. Manage systems and data backups.

16. Work on various projects as assigned

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
