We are looking for 1 experienced Behaviour Interventionist to work twice a week incorporating ABA programs, managed by a BCBA from Building Blocks Behaviour Consulting. It would be an asset if you have education and/or experience in ABA or a related field (e.g. Education, Psychology, ECE, Linguistics). However, those seeking to gain experience and develop a career working with children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.

**Location: Richmond, BC. Near No.5 Road and Williams road**

You would be working with a sweet and fun 5 year old boy with autism spectrum disorder. You would be working with him in the home setting and teaching him language and communication skills, academics, and supporting him with speech exercises. Sessions will Mondays and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 4:30/5:00 pm.

**Duties of a Behavior Interventionist**:

- Implement behaviour intervention plans and provide direct support to individuals with behavioural challenges.
- Collect data on target behaviours and analyze data to monitor progress and make adjustments to intervention strategies with support from junior behaviour consultant/behaviour consultant.
- Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour plans.
- Provide training and support to staff, caregivers, and family members on behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interventions and progress notes.

**Requirements**:

- An individual who is energetic, patient, and dependable.
- Open to learning and have a positive attitude.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong play skills.
- Able to commit for at least 1 year.
- Prior training in ABA is an asset but not required.
- Have a clear criminal record or willing to undergo one.
- Able to provide at least 2 professional references.
- Wage is between $20 - 26 depending on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
