The Backup Shipper/Receiver / Assembly Team Member is accountable for operating equipment in a warehouse and preparing items for distribution. The requirements for an Assembly Team Member involve assembling and checking products, ensuring all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the packaging and shipment of items. The Shipper Receiver position performs a full range of tasks related to accurate and efficient freight handling. **Main Duties and Responsibilities**
**Assembly Team Member**
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Insure proper operation and assembly of line products and packaging. Keeping recorded log of all products produced during shift.
- Ensure hand and eye coordination at all times
- Oversee all work in compliance with safety procedures
- Clean production area by sweeping, and removing debris
- Able to work as a team in cadence with machines
**Back-up Shipper/Receiver**
- Document the inbound/outbound materials and ensure shipping deadlines, goals, and standards are met
- Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are met
- Accountable for efficiently and safely loading trailers for transport material in accordance with routing solutions
- Ensure inbound/outbound material area is clean, clear of hazards/debris and organized
- Assist other department workers as required
- Verify quantities on incoming PO’s
- Shift products to final BIN locations
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts and communicate
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory
- Communicate inventory issues and discrepancies to relevant departments and management
- Kitting within Acumatica
**Education and Experience**
- Experience in an assembly line in a warehouse setting is preferred
- WHMIS Certification is an asset
- High School Education
- Valid Forklift license an asset
- First Aid Basic an asset

- Technical aptitude toward equipment operation and control preferred.
- Ability to both multitask.

- Must be able to lift 20-40lbs.
- Passionate about the environment, sustainable living, and eradication of plastic in households.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high paced work environment including prioritizing work to meet multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ethical and professional behavior, including confidentiality.
- Proficient in computer use
- Reliable, positive, and organized with a strong work ethic and excellent time administration skills
- Proficient in the English language (written/spoken) with excellent communication skills

Pay: $18.73-$24.00 per hour
