**Full Job Description**

**Overview of the role**:
The primary responsibilities include maintaining outstanding customer service, assisting customers with their painting needs, providing advice on color selection, preparing paint orders, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. A successful paint associate should have a strong knowledge of different types of paint, primers, and finishes, as well as an understanding of basic color theory and design principles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing paint orders and ensuring that they meet customer specifications.
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including restocking of paint supplies, samples, and brochures.
- Providing accurate product knowledge and promoting related products such as primers, paintbrushes, and rollers to customers.
- Mixing paint to create exact colors requested by the customer.
- Managing inventory and ensuring that products are fully stocked.
- Keeping up to date with new paint trends and techniques, as well as providing advice to customers on painting techniques.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail or customer service or retail sales
- Knowledge of paint products, color theory, and painting techniques
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Attention to detail in preparing accurate paint orders
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.

**Working conditions**:

- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy paint cans, and work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability and willingness to work from Monday to Saturday with one set day off
