**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of youth, including those with mental health issues
- Provide one-on-one support to youth, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their personal goals
- Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, social skills, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each individual's development
- Monitor and document the progress of youth participants, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet their evolving needs
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where all youth feel valued and respected
- Educate youth on important life skills, including communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy

**Experience**
- Previous experience working with youth in educational, foster care or group home settings is preferred
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting individuals with mental health is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of young people
- A passion for proving mental health support and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of youth
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to take initiative when needed

**Qualifications**
- Community College diploma (CYW, DSW)
- A minimum of 2 years of strong experience supporting individuals with mental health and complex needs
- Previous knowledge and experience implementing principles of ABA
- Vulnerable Sector Check required; VSC accepted if within the last 6 months
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Child Welfare Check
- Crisis Training (CPI, UMAB); will be provided if needed
- WHMIS Training will be provided if needed
- Valid Driver's Licence

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
