As a **_Floater _**Adult, Youth, Childcare Worker **at our **Therapeutic Homes throughout the lower mainland (North Vancouver, Surrey, Delta, Burnaby, New West, Richmond, Vancouver, Langley and Abbotsford), **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to adults and youth with complex mental health, behavioural challenges, and/or substance use. This line is **24 hours/week, Friday-Sunday, with weekly shift times and locations decided on Thursdays by 12pm by your Program Manager.**

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with at-risk youth, and/or adults and youth with Special Needs.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with clients with complex mental health and behavioural challenges
- Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
- Clear, direct, and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- Current First Aid/CPR training (we will train those who require this)
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or MANDT Training (we will train those who require this)

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- Wellness checks on clients, according to their safety plan
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
- Encouraging and modelling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
- Driving clients to and from appointments, outings, etc. as needed

**Salary**: $26.51/hour plus benefits
