We offer a company Pension Plan and competitive wages. **Our Mission** "In the spirit of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph, we reveal God’s love and mercy through compassionate care focussed on the body, mind and soul of all those whose lives we touch." **Duties**: - Prepares and cook/bakes foods for residents/staff and visitors - Follows recipes and all guidelines outlined in job duties - Operates various equipment used in food preparation and service and ensures all safety/cleaning instructions are followed. - Responsible for ensuring foods have met all requirements for food service/storage and handling. (HACCP) - Puts away stores making sure all items are in good condition and accounted for - Performs audits/prepares food orders when required - Ensures all staff are present and on duty in the absence of management. - Performs any other duties as assigned **Qualifications** - Food Safety Certification Course. - Graduate of a formal accredited cooking course / License issued by Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. - Experience in institutional cooking preferred. **Other Requirements** - Ability to lift heavy pans/pots/groceries - Ability to work in stressful situations and make decisions - Bilingualism an asset. - Participates in the Public Health Food Safety Awareness Program and Other recommended skills development programs. - Must be available to work all shifts. **Salary: $24.59 - $25.50** **About Us**: St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC) is home to Hotel Dieu Hospital and St. Joseph's Villa.
