Industrial Painter

**Summary**:
Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, the purpose of**In**dustrial Painter** includes, but is not limited to, being capable of performing all aspects of the Paint Department, working with other employees as a part of a team, and being prompt and on time daily for work. Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques and learn all aspects of job as required.

NOTE: Enerflex has several positions available for painters and labourers in the Paint Department.

4 x 10-hour shifts per week.

Day shift is 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, 4 days a week

Evening shift is 5:00 pm - 3:00 am, 4 days a week and includes a $5 per hour premium

**Principle Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Knowledge of Alkyd, Enamel, Polyurethane, Epoxies, and Zinc industrial paints
- Painting of Gas Compression, Gas Processing and Power Generation equipment to a high standard of quality primarily using airless spraying equipment
- Knowledge of methods and techniques related to painting, safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products.
- Familiar with the use of wet and dry paint thickness MIL gauges
- Experience with performing soluble salt testing and low voltage holiday detection.
- Experienced with the use of Replica Tape to determine sandblast profile.
- Measuring environmental conditions and accurately recording.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 to 3 years of related work experience in a similar industry is considered an asset.
- Auto body painters will be considered.
- Good written and oral communications skills.
