With the goal of providing exceptional customer service, the Journeyperson Auto Body Technician is responsible for working with the Body Shop team to determine vehicle repair requirements and provide accurate repair recommendations to our clients. You play a crucial role in terms of the customer experience by completing the work required to reunite clients with their repaired and restored vehicles to standard.

Job Responsibilities
- Review damage reports, prepare and review cost estimates, and plan work to be performed
- Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Fit weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipment
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders, and wrenches
- Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems
- Replace underbody components, front end components, body components, doors and frame
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills
- Bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Remove, install, align and repair panels
- Assist Auto Body Technicians with Vehicle construction, surface preparation and Application of Undercoats
- Cleaning, detailing upholstery, trim and hardware
- Repair or replace interior components
- Straighten bent frames
- Fit and secure windows, vinyl roofs and metal trim to vehicle bodies
- Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
- Enhances body shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Performing the job in a safe manner, based on Trade Safety Awareness
- Signing off on straight time work hours for Apprentices

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environment
- Completion of Red Seal Journeyperson Certification
- Unrestricted drivers licence and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
- Body Shop and automotive service knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods
- Self-driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
