**Position**: COFFEE AMBASSADOR
**Location**: Pilot Coffee Roasters, Toronto, ON
**Starting Salary**: $52,000 to $55,000 per annum

We are currently looking for a full time **Coffee Ambassador** to join our team. Our Coffee Ambassador’sprimary goal is to elevate the company’s core values of Relationships, Quality, and Innovation across our cafes, our wholesale business, and with the public. The Coffee Ambassador does this by forming and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in all of these business areas and continually providing an exemplary example of what it means to be a coffee professional in the specialty coffee industry. The overall goal being to ensure we are constantly innovating and the benchmark for service and quality in the Canadian specialty coffee industry.

**Primary Duties + Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a role model across PCR Cafes and our Wholesale Business when it comes to delivery of high quality coffee beverages and exceptional customer experience;
- Instill a high standard of coffee quality and customer experience across PCR Cafes through the development and ongoing management of an internal auditing process;
- Participate in the development and delivery of engaging coffee-centred education to various learner groups, including PCR employees, Wholesale Partners and the public in the form of recorded content or live sessions;
- To support continuous improvement at PCR through ongoing market and industry research, and developing creative ways to share learnings with the relevant audience(s);
- Lead and manage our Tasting Bar location at the head office. Manage a small team of lead Barista’s.
- Lead the team to inspire and educate our guests.
- Create and manage schedules.
- Innovative and create ideas and or product to stay relevant and on brand.
- Carry out the duties of a Barista in our cafes on a regular basis in order to:

- Cover shifts if needed
- Serve as a main point of contact for new hires
- Provide coaching and mentoring to teams
- Deliver in-person training
- To provide the Wholesale Team and various other departments of the company with education, coffee, equipment and product support;
- Support PCR with the update and roll-out of our Coffee Release Protocol across PCR Cafes;
- Work closing with Retail operations manager to provide a plan to support new Cafe openings by training and developing the team.
- To participate in Marketing and Media activities such as social media campaigns, interviews and demonstrations, and on site / virtual event support;
- To ignite curiosity and engagement in our cafe teams through the development and delivery of exciting team activities;
- Possess a strong understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Pilot Coffee Roasters;
- Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company.

**Qualifications + Experience**:

- A valid G class driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience working in the Specialty Coffee Industry is required
- Proven track record of consistent delivery of an exceptional customer experience
- Demonstrated creation of consistently high quality coffee-based drinks
- Demonstrated creative approach to fostering team engagement
- Proven track record creating camaraderie and connectedness within the team
- Confidence when speaking or presenting to peers and/or members of the public
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
- Hands on experience utilizing Google Suite and iOS apps is considered an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Work requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on a daily basis
- When required, work on evening and weekends
- Travel required on a regular basis to all cafe locations across the GTA
- Work is typically performed in a cafe environment, with some exposure to a warehouse facility which has moving heavy equipment such as a forklift
