**Community Support Worker Part
- Time (32.5 hrs/week) -- Richmond, BC**

Working in one of our four Adult Day Programs (LIFE), this role supports pesons with developmental disabilities to experience improved quality of life, social inclusion, and achieve individual goals.

**YOUR IMPACT**:

- Provide direct staff support for individuals with developmental disabilities, including people with complex and/or challenging behaviour or support needs.
- Establish respectful relationships with individuals which promote their dignity and well-being.
- Support individuals to achieve goals based on their own choice, beliefs and desires.
- Encourage individuals to build connections; to live self-determined lives in the community surrounded by friends and family.

**YOUR CAPABILITIES**:

- Diploma or degree in a related field at least six months experience working with people with disabilities or other barriers to community inclusion (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
- Approved Criminal Record Check.
- Valid Class 4 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record or Class 5 License with a willingness to obtain Class 4
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
- Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.

**Hours of work**: 08:30am to 03:00pm | Monday-Friday (32.5 hours per week. Start/End times may be slightly earlier/later as needed)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.95-$26.83 per hour
