Barrie, Canada BAYFIELD CARPET & FLOORING Full time

This role is a hands on service/ warranty coordinator/supervisor. The role requires a service tech that can be responsible to schedule specific trade partners and repair or replace flooring deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and review customer warranty/service claims
- Coordinating and scheduling of trades for repairs as required
- Ordering, handling and moving materials
- Organizing, prioritizing and managing service calls/ warranties in a timely fashion
- Take ownership of all projects. Explore opportunities for adding value
- Ensure every project is setup with and follows all company safety policies and
procedures.
- Work with a field superintendent to ensure quality workmanship, timely materials
deliveries, and expedient resolution of site issues if or when they arise.
- Develop scopes of work in association with interior designers and client representatives.
- Prepare estimates for senior management and client approval.
- Approve supplier and trade invoices.
- Prepare / approve monthly billings for completed work in association with project
accountants.
- Adhere to best practice for ongoing early identification and immediate rectification of deficiencies.
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently and all closeout procedures and followed.
Ensure permits are closed promptly.
- Make sound, informed, and cost-efficient decisions; insightfully and effectively managing relationships with trades, property managers and all related parties.
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude and help develop this attitude in others.

Other requirements for this role;
- Moving heavy furniture and equipment
- Climbing ladders and going into crawlspaces as needed
- Gathering tools and supplies, and bringing them to the worksite
- Finding ways to reduce costs of equipment and supplies
- Driving trucks or vans with supplies to work sites
- Checking inventory and ordering supplies when needed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math and geometry
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams
- Ability to keep track of expenses and follow a budget
- Good sense of direction and ability to use maps or smartphone apps to find new job sites

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings
- Weekend availability
