**We are currently recruiting for a Casual Therapy Aide / Assistant for our Leduc facility in Alberta.**

**Position Summary**:
Supports the recreation department under the supervision of the Recreation Therapist in the delivery and implementation of recreation and leisure programs for our residents.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Organizes and leads recreation and leisure programs that are suitable and enjoyable to the resident needs as identified by the supervisor.
- Assists with planning and facilitating group and 1:1 programs, outings and special events.
- Organize and prepare materials needed for upcoming programs.
- Seasonal set up/removal and inventory of site decorations.
- Supports Recreation Department to ensure financial aspects of Recreation activities/events are accurately monitored, collected, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the Recreation Therapy team along with other interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete related administrative work such as daily intervention statistics and various other administration work.
- Prior experience in recreation/activity coordination working with seniors and residents with dementia/special needs in a similar setting is required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
- Ability to organize work and multi-task.
- High level of independent judgment and reasoning.

**Job Type**: Casual

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Proof of COVID19 Immunization (required)
