The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our Lifestyle Options - Leduc team on a casual basis. In this role, you’ll support the Recreation Therapist in delivering and implementing the recreation and leisure programs for our residents. What you’ll do: Lead and assist with recreation programs, outings, and special events tailored to resident needs. Prepare materials, manage seasonal decorations, and support financial tracking for activities. Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure program materials are in good condition. Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy team and other staff members. Complete administrative tasks like daily stats and attend staff training sessions. Qualifications: Experience coordinating activities for seniors, including those with dementia. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. High emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with residents and families. Physically capable of performing job duties and operating related equipment. Organized, able to multitask, and work well in diverse environments. Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
