Manager, Aviation Development

Is This Role for You?
**What You’ll Do**:
- Lead and manage high-impact, multi-stakeholder projects that vary in scope and complexity, often with limited clarity requiring solution-based thinking.
- Serve as a confident and credible representative of YEG in high-profile external engagements—particularly with airlines, government officials, and industry stakeholders in Canada and around the world.
- Deliver compelling and visually engaging air service development presentations to airline network planning teams and other partners.
- Leverage your project management expertise to drive forward corporate, market, and economic development initiatives that align with YEG’s broader strategic goals.
- Analyze aviation-related financial and demand data to build business cases and identify route opportunities using sound analytical skills.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with cargo, government relations, brand, finance, operations and other internal teams to support air service initiatives.
- Identify and manage necessary budget requirements for the provision of air service and business development initiatives.
- Contribute strategically to YEG’s long-term air service growth by identifying and acting on emerging opportunities in global markets.
- Travel regularly - up to 35% of your time - across Canada and internationally to attend industry conferences, conduct airline meetings, and foster relationships.
**What You Bring**:
- A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance, or a related field (MBA an asset).
- Proven experience in finance, sales, marketing, consulting, business development, or corporate strategy.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a natural ability to present complex ideas in a clear, persuasive manner.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication with an emphasis on strong stakeholder relations.
- Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, often with mínimal oversight and evolving priorities.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a knack for problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Ability to research, analyze, and present data gathered from a wide variety of reference sources.
- Knowledge of relevant data analytics software and business statistical skills considered an asset (such as Cirium Diio, Sabre Market Intelligence, OAG, IATA Airport IS, Tableau).
- Advanced knowledge of MSOffice, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- The ability to develop external networks and influence key decision-makers.
- Airline industry experience is an asset but not required.
