**Summary**:
Review and manage the planning process for projects and program implementation within the Company’s capital plan in conjunction with the banner Planner and colleagues from other relevant departments or within the department

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Manage the capital budget and project schedules for the capital plan of assigned project
- Assist the Planner in managing the capital plan program of assigned banner.
- Visit all project locations of assigned program to determine project objectives with clients, opportunities for improvement and growth, and analyze site conditions and limitations.
- Work with Store Design to prepare proposals, options and solutions to meet or address client requirements, company objectives and new initiatives.
- Follow-up on budgets and schedules for each assigned project.
- Review construction and equipment budgets and estimates to ensure they respect project scope of work, and capital plan budgets in collabooration with store planner
- Follow the execution of assigned projects, manage any changes involving planning and design. Keeps the various departments informed of the evolution of each project.
- Update information for assigned projects in SAP-PS an MS Online
- Ensure overall monitoring of budgets and schedules for all the projects in order to accumulate statistics for future projects to be planned
- Review plans for all projects within the banner capital plan to ensure all surplus equipment assets are managed in the most appropriate manor (redirect to other stores or projects, utilized by maintenance department, tendered & sold, or disposed of).
- Ensure that the transfer of all assets from projects are properly documented and coordinated with finance.
- Manage the equipment assets in storage within the Metro facilities or at vendor warehousing.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings with the Sr. Manager, Store Planning and the banner Planner.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or University studies (certificate) in Architecture Technology or another related field
- 3-5 years of experience in project planning, project Design or project management, preferable in the retail sector
- Knowledge of Autocad, the Windows PC environment (Outlook, Word, Excel) SAP an MS Project.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Effective negotiating skills
- Ability to multi task, remain organized maintain efficiencies
- Knowledge of a professional environment
- Travelling on site. Sometime more than one day
- Have a valid license and a car available at all times
- Priority management and autonomy
