**POSITION**:Courier Driver

**REPORTS TO**:Operations Supervisor

**LOCATED AT**: Timmins, ON

**OVERALL PURPOSE**:
To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing/delivery of Canpar deliveries.

**MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Pick-ups and deliveries in assigned areas
- 100% scanning compliance
- Complete all duties within the required guidelines
- Other duties as assigned

**ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESULTS**:

- Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage.
- Follow policy and procedures as outlined by operations supervisor and lead hand.
- Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff.
- Comply with Collective Agreement.
- Alert operations management of service issues immediately when they occur.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have a valid ‘G’ driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to operate company van/truck
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain route productivity levels & have good knowledge of the Ottawa area
- Good attendance history & punctuality to work effectively with on time constraints
- Able to perform repetitive heavy lifting throughout the shift
- Ability to follow policies and procedures as outlines by the Operations Supervisor and lead hands
- Ability to understand basic scanner requirements and functions
- Flexible to work assigned shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends as required
