The pavement maintenance technical representative is responsible for managing the line of pavement maintenance product group to ensure that our product offerings meet customer and market expectations. The pavement maintenance representative develops and implements strategies to position W. R. MEADOWS as the lead manufacture of pavement maintenance products. The pavement maintenance representative works with all facets of the organization, sales, marketing and production to ensure that the products meet or exceed market demands.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
1) Developing new business opportunities to increase market presence and growth of this segment
2) Take a lead role in meeting customer needs and nurturing business opportunities and partnerships
3) Track major target projects
4) Act as a liaison between W. R. MEADOWS and applicable trade and standards organizations.
5) Formulate a marketing strategy based on product differentiation identifying new market opportunities
6) Act as the lead technical resource on pavement maintenance products and equipment
**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITITES**:
1) Promote and support products in the market
2) Ensure execution of plan.
3) Education and training of distributors and end user customers
4) Monitor code changes
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
1) Technical background in pavement maintenance products and equipment
2) Technical understanding material properties.
3) Strong communication and presentation skills.
4) Thorough familiarity with company's pavement maintenance products.
5) Organizational skills necessary to develop implement and track strategies
6) General office skills, including proficiency with keyboarding and word processing.
7) Position involves about 50 percent travel in the Western Canada territory
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
1) High school diploma required; post-secondary is an asset.
2) Minimum 2 years previous sales experience in related industry required
3) Marketing experience an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
