Job Overview:
Purchasing of all goods and services to meet MRO (maintenance, Repair, Operations) requirements of the plant. May assist production buying team during busy times.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Work closely with operations, maintenance and production departments for product approval.
- Create purchase orders, review contracts, and track deliveries to maintain inventory levels
- Familiarity with MRP systems and procurement processes
- Knowledge of vendor management practices and supply chain principles
- Meet with suppliers and develop logistics for supply contracts
- Deal with invoice discrepancies
- Process receipts of MRO goods. Maintain parts file
- Follow-up and arrange for pick-ups for MRO orders

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of high school or equivalent. Post secondary education is an asset.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment is required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of previous purchasing experience in a production environment
- Strong negotiating skills
- Superb communication ability, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office as asset (Word and Excel)
